PIERRE DALPHIN
LUTHIER A GENEVE |
Born in 1941 in Geneva (Switzerland).
After having studied violin at the Geneva Conservatory, he joins the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande conducted by Ernest Ansermet.
Already passionate about violin making, he makes some violins while carrying on with his musical activity.
Whilst he is living and working in the United States, the violin maker and dealer William Moennig Jr.,encourages him and invites him to join his workshop in Philadelphia where Pierre Dalphin will spend a few years being permanently in contact with Old Masters' instruments.
